First Freeze

On my way home from Qi Gong class this morning, I heard on the radio that we were going to have our first freeze this evening. I was a bit freaked out because I can't believe it is already fall! I'm not complaining because this is my favorite time of year, just seems like the days go by faster and faster. Summer seemed like a quick blip in time.

I didn't have much time to spend in my yard this afternoon, but did manage to get the rest of the pears and lemon cucumbers picked in addition to covering the blueberries. Ahhh! I'm not quite ready to see all the plants turn to mush. The first week of fall has been magnificent here in Central Oregon. Temperate sunny days with dark clouds rolling in by late afternoon and chilly nights. Perfect weather for relaxing by a fire. Below are some snapshots I took before going to work.
