Heart to Heart

I'm a hugger. I love to give them and receive them. I recently saw my parents that I haven't seen in a while. We keep in touch by phone, email, and letters but it is not the same as being together. It felt so good to just give them a great BIG HUG!

Now granted, not everyone is comfortable with the intimacy of a hug. It is just as loving to respect the boundaries of others. Use your intuition to decipher the appropriate gesture or simply ask permission. May I give you a hug? Do you want a hug? How about a hug?

A great way to heal or open up the heart chakra is to hug HEART to HEART with another. Our hearts are the closest when we hug LEFT CHEEK to LEFT CHEEK. The heart chakra is an energy point that is located in the center of your chest and is associated with the color green and pink. It is the area of our body that deals with giving and receiving love.

Some physical dysfunctions associated with this area are heart conditions, blood vessels, lung conditions, breast cancer, thoracic spine, upper back, shoulder problems, and thymus gland. Heart chakra emotional issues involve love, joy, forgiveness, grief, divorce, hatred, anger, fear of betrayal, and jealousy.

The heart chakra is the center of unconditional love. It connects the body and spirit. A great way to tap into this unconditional love is to develop a relationship with your heart. Close your eyes and tune into your heart. Ask your heart the following questions:

What relationships need to be healed?
What does my heart desire?
How can I connect with my Higher Self?
Why am I so angry?
How can I learn to love myself?
After asking the questions you should get a response or thought in your mind that will help you process your emotions. I first learned to trust my heart by writing in my journal. I would title my entry "My Heart Desires..." and then just let the thoughts flow through the pen onto the paper. This is also a great tool to help you live a heart centered life.

Love and Hugs,
Jan
