Tulsi Tea

Tulsi tea also known as Holy Basil is recognized throughout India as "The Queen of Herbs" and is believed to contain sacred healing powers that has been documented in ancient Indian scriptures dating back 5,000 years. Tulsi Original made and sold by Organic India is a blend of three varieties of tulsi leaves and is a favorite of mine.

Tulsi is an adaptogen which means that it is an herb that helps the body adapt to stress and changing situations. Adaptogens contain certain traits such as the herb must not target a specific region of the body, but benefit the whole. It must help support natural homeostasis and be high in antioxidants. I've been drinking tulsi tea lately, and it has been a nice comforting ritual.

I also wanted to give a shout out to Organic India. I recently attended an online Success Summit with the amazing Kute Blacksonand Bharat Mitra, the founder of Organic India was one of the speakers. He is such a loving and compassion soul! His essence and mission left an impression on me. He and his wife, Bhavani went to India as spiritual seekers years ago and eventually felt called to start an organic revolution in India where Monsanto's genetically modified organisms (GMO's) had taken a strong hold in the region.

Bharat Mitra and Bhavani have created a new paradigm of business that encourages us to follow our true calling no matter how unrealistic it may seem. Organic India is an excellent example of how we can create solutions rather than waste our time fighting injustice. We can also make a difference in this world by choosing to purchase from companies that support the "well-being and respect for all beings and for Mother Earth." By purchasing products from Organic India and others like it, we are participating in a movement to create a sustainable global economy as well as bringing dignity back to our much valued farmers.
