Walton Lake

This sparkling blue lake is nestled in the Ochoco National Forest of Central Oregon and surrounded by old-growth Ponderosa Pines and mountain meadows. What a cozy spot to camp, read, paint, fish for rainbow trout or just float the lake. I discovered Walton Lake on one of my jaunts to Eastern Oregon. Approximately 30 miles east of Prineville, it is a popular spot among locals. There are also many trails to explore the forest on foot or mountain bike. Below are some photos of the serene setting.

Hope you are having an enjoyable summer!

Much Love,
Jan
