Ashland, Oregon

There's a movement in the industrial world to simplify life. We're moving from McMansions and a compulsion to be perpetually busy towards a trend of purging stuff and opting for smaller homes. With less responsibilities, there is more time for creative expression and relaxation.

For most of my life, I've been fascinated with different forms of architecture, especially earthen homes. More recently though, sacred geometry in architecture has sparked my interest as buildings have a profound influence on our body, mind, and spirit. I first discovered ecodomes when coming across the EcoCamp Patagonia Domes online. I've been obsessed ever since.

I recently traveled south from my home in Central Oregon to Ashland, Oregon to check out some geodesic domes. I met with the founder of Pacific Domes, Asha Deliverance and she kindly took me on a tour of Jackson Wellsprings where several of her domes are situated. What an amazing and inspiring woman!

I loved the feel of the domes and ended up spending the entire day walking the grounds and soaking in the natural alkaline artesian mineral hotsprings. I was so relaxed that I'm looking forward to returning when I can spend a few days there to JUST BE.

There are many sacred areas on the property such as the Goddess Temple, community altars, gardens, The Moon Lodge, and Mikvah. There are frequent events at the retreat and camping/glamping sites available as well. The 30+ acre natural hot springs spa and eclectic community is only 2.5 miles from the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and the gorgeous Lithia Park. Below are some more photos from my day spent there.

Many Blessings!
Jan
