Torn Apart

For someone who's been known to purge often, I'm having a challenging time downsizing. There's just so much stuff!! It's fascinating what I'm having difficulty letting go. An old brass floor lamp that I found at a thrift store years ago. House plants. Serving platters. Books. My grandmother's vase. Sentimental stuff. Thankfully, my daughters are taking some of these items, other things I just need to release.

My daughter and I will be living mostly out of an Airstream come summer and there is much to do in order to make it all come together. The truth be told, I'm extremely overwhelmed! Although, I'm so grateful for all the support from family and friends. The good news is that when I spend time in the Airstream, I feel such a sense of peace especially since our home is torn apart. In shambles really in the most exciting way.

Our living room looks like we've been robbed of possessions, but now there is room to dare, go crazy and do what ever we want. We've been dancing and eating on the floor. Abigail has space now to practice her kihon and kata for her next Karate belt. As the belongings continue to dwindle, we are essentially living in an empty shell, but it feels very zen.

I've wanted to clear the clutter in my life for many years, and the time has come to actually make it a reality. If you are interested in reading some other post of mine regarding space clearing, click on the following:

Wishing you a fun holiday season with family and friends!

Much Love,
